Last year, the pharmaceutical industry made $1.27 trillion dollars. Let me repeat that 1.27 trillion.

Do you want to know how much they spent teaching people to be healthy rather than masking their symptoms?

That amount is $0.

Just think if we were to take the money that we dumped into medication and taught people how to eat a healthy lifestyle, how to lose weight, how to move better, how to feel better, how to avoid disease.

Wouldn't that change our world?

Why don't we do that?

Peggy and I are on a mission to do exactly that. We want to help as many people as we can to avoid medications, to avoid the complications of medications, to live long, healthy, happy lives.

When I saw that statistic and realized... oh, gosh, I don't want to beat too much on big pharma, but man.

I think when I first realized this was five or six years ago, I never really totally trusted... but I went in my doctor's office and they were playing prescription commercials on the TV's in the lobby. There were two TVs in the lobby and they both were looping commercials for the medications the doctor was going to prescribe for me.

And I say he was going to prescribe because I just had a feeling. Sure enough I went in, he wrote a prescription after the first two sentences. Trying to get me on to statins, even though I didn't need statins. He hadn't even seen my numbers yet. So I mean, unfortunately, the doctors are being bribed. The pharmacy industry is spinning.

Think about this. A drug to cure things.

When you're watching TV in the evening, how many of the commercials are for a drug? How many of them are for diabetes drug, blood pressure drug, irritable bowel syndrome drug...

It's insane. If these things worked that well, would they have to do that kind of advertising?

I think it's insidious. I think it's really insidious and big pharma doggone you, you know, if you really cared about people, you would be investing in teaching people a healthy lifestyle.

That's it. That's my message for today. So may you move well, stay healthy, be happy, live a long passionate and healthy life.
