Uh oh. Did you wake up a little stiff and sore today? Was it tough getting out of bed? Was it tough moving?

What are you gonna do about that?

Are you gonna go sit on the couch and just melt? Are you gonna drag your butt to work, get in your car and go to work? Are you going to be sad and depressed all day? Are you going to do something about it?

Here's my recommendation. Start moving.

Take a walk. Do some Tai Chi or Qigong, come to an early morning class. Start your day off right. Get your cup of coffee, take some nice deep breaths, and don't eat. Don't eat right away. You can fast in the morning. Don't eat.

Work on getting your mind and your body going in the right direction.

So when you get out of bed, stand up, take some deep breaths in, say to yourself, It feels good to feel good. Keep breathing deeply. Start moving. I don't care what you do. Sweep your arms up overhead. Take some easy twists. Walk around the house, anything, and then either go for a walk, go to class, do something that's going to start your day off on the right foot.

That's going to be huge, I guarantee you. And if you do that, you're gonna love the rest of your day. I know, I know. I know. I do it. I do it. And the days I don't do it. Let's say I've got my weekend and it's a Saturday morning. I go, Man, I'm really tired and I just sit around... that day usually devolves from there.

But if I get up and I move, I mean even a 10 minute Qigong session. And if you're a RiversZen member, there's a lot of those 10 minute sessions in the on-demand library. Take advantage of those. Throughout the day, if you're feeling a little down, you can do one on your own or you can log in and get my silliness or Peggy's wisdom or, or Kim's insanity and let that help you do your 10 minutes.

Okay? That works for me. It works for most people I know that do it. The people that come to my 7:30 class, it's really powerful. They can walk in looking exhausted. They walk out looking energized and ready for the day.

How about you? Do you wanna be energized and ready for the day?

Then let's rock this. Get outta bed. Take a deep breath and move.

Speaking of which move, well, stay healthy, be happy. Feel good to feel good.

Talk to you tomorrow.
