Did you notice the cover art? It's a picture of a boat that's capsized. It got me thinking about my life and maybe your life a little bit. Have you ever felt like your life is capsizing? Like you're a sunken boat?

It can happen. It can happen to the best of us. I'm going to tell you something that I don't share very often, but in the mid eighties, I was involved in a real estate project that went belly up.

It forced me into bankruptcy. So I experienced something that I thought I would never, ever experience in my life, but I had to, to protect our family.

So I went through this bankruptcy and it was devastating. I don't know how to explain it other than I actually thought life was over. I never contemplated suicide... it's that's never been my thing. I just, I just can't imagine anything being so bad that I would take my own life, but I felt pretty desperate.

I learned through this... we came out of it okay. We came out of it fine. In fact, I even paid back my debtors, the ones that would allow me to. A couple of them, I was surprised a couple of big department stores I had written off their credit card balances. And when I tried to pay them back, they wouldn't take it. They said that legally they could not. That kind of crushed me, but I took the money. I would've paid them and donated it to a charity.

I came out of that stronger than ever. So even at the lowest times of your life, the times that you think there's no way to crawl up out of the hole, because let me tell you bankruptcy... when you've been a very successful entrepreneur... you feel like you're in the bottom of a well, and there's no ladder and there's no rope and there's nobody coming to get you. You feel like your life is over because I, at that time, I... I was so proud. I was so prideful and I didn't think that something like that could ever happen to me.

Well, it did totally out of my hands and that's not an excuse. It just was totally out of my hands. We had to go bankrupt. We had to bankrupt our company, our, our group that was doing this housing project. And along with that came a personal bankruptcy. I hope you never have to experience a financial loss like that.

But if you do, let me assure you one thing, you can come out of it. So if you're a person right now, or sometime in the future, you feel like you're that boat that's on the cover art... that sunk and hopeless. Know you can come out of it stronger than ever. There are powers that we don't understand that are in charge.

They take good care of us. They do take good care of us. Have faith, have faith and know that no matter what happens, you're going to be all right in the end we're all right, aren't we,?

Once you get that attitude, once you realize that it's never as bad as you think it is,

it's freeing.

I've been able to do a lot of things in my life because of that bankruptcy. I've protected my money a lot better. I've known that I can always work and recover, which I did within a year. Banks were offering me credit cards. So don't believe the seven year thing. Yeah, there was a stain on my credit for a while, but if you're strong financially, they'll come crawling to you looking for your business again.

So that's it that's today's message... know that even if it feels like you're capsized and hopeless, know the crane can come along... the guys, the floats can come along, they can float you right up out of the water and fix things.

Rely on friends, family, the ones that don't disown you. Know Everything will be all right.

That's it. That's today's message. Move well, stay healthy, be happy. Live your life with passion and best of all, love your life.
