Do you love yourself? There's nothing wrong with loving yourself.

I struggled with that for years and years. At first, I just didn't like myself very well. So how could you possibly love yourself? Then I felt guilty. I said, well, if I love myself, isn't that egotistical and crazy? For a long time, I thought, yes.

But then I realized one day that if I wanted it to be lovable, I had to love myself first. I had to appreciate myself. I had to accept myself exactly as I am. So I added a simple affirmation to my life and it had profound effects. Know it's worked for other people also.

So here it is. It's nothing complicated. I start every day off with first accepting myself. I accept myself wholly and completely... just as I am. I don't need to make any changes. I'm perfect just as I am. And I accept that. I accept that.

Now, changes will happen, but if I'm happy with myself right here right now, right where I'm at it has a profound effect on my ability to make positive changes.

Doesn't that sound a little bit funny. First I say, I accept myself, I don't need any changes. Well, that's setting myself up knowing that I'm okay as I am. But if I make positive changes, I can be even better.

I also just go with, I love myself. I love myself .

After I've done the first one accepting, then I just kind of use different emotions. I love myself. I love myself. I love myself.

Again, corny as hell. But it has worked. It has worked for myself. It's worked for many others. Give it a try. You've got nothing to lose, do it when nobody's around. I mean good god. It's like we do such silly things in our lives to be worried about when somebody might think if you say I love myself... is a waste of time.

Give it a try right now. First, accept yourself, wholly and completely just as you are. Then emphatically tell yourself that you love yourself. See how that works for you.

Move well, stay healthy, be happy, live today and every day with passion and purpose, we'll be talking to you next time.
