Inspiration - What Will It Take?

Are you inspirited to make positive changes in your life? What will it take to give you that inspiration?

What is it going to take to inspire you to live a long, healthy, happy life? 

I know I sound like a broken record, when I talk about long happy, healthy life, but after having suffered in my forties and early fifties and discovering that I could be inspired. 

Now, inspiration can come in a lot of different forms.

You can see somebody who has accomplished something great in life and being inspired because of what you saw them doing. Often you might even think, wow, if they can do it, anybody can do it. 

That's a form of inspiration. Maybe, and I would hope this could be possible. Maybe you will see the health and fitness that Peggy and I have in our late sixties, early seventies.

And maybe that can inspire you to develop your own health, [00:01:00] fitness habits. 

What I want you to do is figure out how you can develop a passion to live your life without pain, to live your life, taking deep breasts and live your life. so you can jump up out of bed every day, excited and ready to get the day going.

What does that take? Can it be done by watching somebody else? 

Maybe the inspiration comes from envisioning what your life will be like once you get there, that can be inspiring. 

What else could inspire you? 

Spend a few minutes thinking about that and see if you can come up with an inspiration .Something that would inspire you and then that inspiration leading to passion to just be passionate about your day, be passionate about it. To love your life. [00:02:00] 

I really want that for you. Peggy wants that for you. That's the only reason we do this. 

This is our Encore career. 

We've lived a, a long and comfortable life. Well, not always comfortable. 

We've lived a long and happy life. We've always been able to figure out what it's going to take for us to thrive, for us to feel good.

And we really really. I really want that for you want you to have that in your life. I want to inspire you. 

I want to be able to say something to do something, to show something that will give you the inspiration you need to stop being sick, to stop living disease, to cut that weight, I 

I'm sorry. Most of the country's overweight.

You have to get rid of that weight. You want to talk about an epidemic, an epidemic of [00:03:00] overweightness and the disease that causes the unease that causes the, it keeps you from doing what you want to do with your life. It keeps you from doing the things that you find enjoyable. 

There's nothing worse than to get up and really want to go do something. Say even with your family, with your children, with your grandchildren, with your great grandchildren and just not have the energy or the desire of the spark to do it. 

There is where getting the inspiration to, do what you need to do. 

Let's talk about that a little bit, beings I'm talking about inspiration this morning.

What do you need to do? 

Well, you need to be willing to give up foods that are bad for you. 

And I mean, give them up, especially if you're an addictive personality, often talk about addictive personalities. I am one. So I know what you're going through. I [00:04:00] know how that one piece of chocolate can lead to an entire candy bar and maybe even a trip to the store to get a second or third candy bar.

I get it. 

You got to just say, no, I'm done. It's like a recovering alcoholic. You can't touch a drop of alcohol because you're just immediately going to want more. 

I know back in the days, here's a, here's a quick example. Back in the day. I was a smoker in my early twenties. And I found that I would quit. I tried to quit often, but I would find I would quit and I'd be just fine.

And I decided to just have that one cigarette. 

Man, it took no time at all before I was back to a two, three day a pack... pack a day habit. Don't want to get deep into that right now, but I came to realize the only thing I could do is to completely give it up. Just never have another cigarette in my life. And [00:05:00] that's what I did.

It is so rewarding. I was already in my twenties. I was already one morning I coughed up a little bit of blood. I was constantly coughing and hacking. So thank God I got my trachia working and got my lungs back plenty of years before it would have done some permanent damage. 

So find your inspiration.

That's the bottom line of today's podcast. Find your inspiration, find what it will take for you to move and feel better and start enjoying life again.
