Healthy boundaries. Let's celebrate and create healthy boundaries today.
What do I mean by healthy boundaries?
These are boundaries that you've set for yourself or are going to set for yourself that limit a behavior.
Let's say maybe food. If you're a diabetic and you don't eat sugar. That's a healthy boundary.
Social media. Cutting back your time on social media, maybe not even going on Twitter and some of the others. That's a healthy boundary.
How about TV? Do you limit your TV time? Do you get out in nature? That's a healthy boundary.
There are tons and tons and tons of healthy boundaries that make your life better.
So today, what I would like to do is give you a few minutes to think about healthy boundaries.
Let's start with healthy boundaries that you have already set. Take a couple minutes and write down or at least identify in your head, some healthy boundaries that you can celebrate.
Go ahead. Do it right now. I'm going to actually give you a couple minutes here. I'll have some nice music playing in the background, so take a nice deep breath in and let it go.
Now take a couple minutes to write down healthy boundaries that you have already established in your life. Go ahead. Go ahead. It won't hurt. I promise.
Welcome back. I hope you have an amazing list. I hope you were able to just impress the daylights out of yourself of the number of healthy boundaries that you've already set.
Now, I have another assignment for you. This time let's identify a group of healthy boundaries that you would like to add to your life.
Thinking of all the different things... It could be anything from saying no more often, to spending more time for yourself, to maybe saying no to a party or a social gathering, because you'd like to get to bed at a reasonable time.
Go ahead. We're going to do the same thing. We're going to take a couple minutes and have some nice music playing in the background. Something to help stimulate your thought process. So be it be it food, be it social media, be it TV, be it social interaction, whatever would add quality to your life. Brainstorm this, write it down. Anything you think that would add to your life, a healthy boundary that would add to your life. Write them down right now.
Go ahead. I'll give you a couple of minutes.
Welcome back. I hope you've got a good list now of healthy boundaries you would like to create in your life.
Now let's do a couple things real quickly. Go back to that first list. The habits you've already created, what I'd like you to do is pick the one that impacts your life the most, that you are proudest of.
Take a nice deep breath in and celebrate. Be proud of yourself, pat yourself on the back. Say my God, I am more incredible than I even knew. Love yourself. Congratulate yourself. Go ahead and savor that for just a moment or two.
That's great. That is great. I'm so proud of you. Be proud of yourself.
Now we're going to move on to your second list. The healthy habits that you would like to incorporate into your life. Take a look at that list. Some will be impactful, some less, some will be easy, some a little more difficult.
Right now, pick one, just one. One healthy habit you would like to add to your life.
I challenge you right here and now today, add that healthy habit to your life. You can do it. You can do it.
Think of all the healthy habits you already have... all the healthy boundaries you already have should be a piece of cake tad.
One more, right? Pick one, pick one right now and commit to adding that one healthy boundary to your life today.
Move well, stay healthy, be happy. Live your life with passion and purpose.
Don't forget, set that healthy boundary and live it. Talk to you next time.
