Time to Reassess
The 30-day Fitness and Health Reset is coming to an end, and you have progressed through the program based on your own personal parameters. Some of you may have kept track of weight, or pushups or planks or minutes on the treadmill. Maybe you did a good job of following Kim’s daily journaling prompts. Maybe you were monitoring your blood pressure, blood sugar levels, sleep cycles, or your body’s measurements. Maybe your number one goal through the 30 days was to clean up your eating. Whatever your goals, it will soon be time to evaluate the changes you have experienced during this time. Part of that process should include a repeat of the assessment and posture photos you did at the start of the program. Why, you might ask.
The assessments are designed to help you keep track of the progress being made in five different categories: Posture, Strength, Balance, Flexibility and Endurance. If you regularly track the results, you will be able to see where you have improved and where you need to focus more of your effort. The posture photos will give you a clear visual of the changes in your body. Are you standing taller? Are you more balanced from side to side and front to back? Has your alignment improved from heels to knees to hips to shoulders to ears? It is amazing the changes you can make in your body in a month. These improvements will be reflected in how your body moves and performs its daily tasks.
But numbers and photos are not the only measures of your progress. How do you feel in your skin? Do you feel better about yourself? Do you move better? Review your daily activities as you experienced them before the reset and how you go through your day now. Do you feel you are able to get more done? Each of you started the program with different goals and motivations for joining us. Maybe reviewing your daily activity sheets, you note those may have changed over time. That’s fine. Evaluate where you have come and what more you wish to accomplish. Note those changes and continue with the program. Hopefully, you have developed some new habits and going forward will be easier than the last 30 days have been. The basics of the program are available for you to come back and review, as necessary. Establish a new set of goals for next month and repeat. We are here to help you with any questions you might have along the way. We have taken this same path to get where we are today and follow this program every single day to maintain our health and fitness. We know it can work.
Till next time . . .
Move Well. Stay Healthy. Be Happy. Live your Life with Passion. Bye Bye.
