Live Your Best Life

No matter what anyone else says you can live your best life with what works for your body.




One of the most fascinating things I find is that these days everyone's an expert. It doesn't matter what opinion you post on Facebook or Twitter, Instagram, or even, even speak out loud in a group of people. No matter what you say, somebody is going to speak with such authority, countering what you said.

Say for instance, you say I'm a vegan... I'm going to talk about nutrition because that's a big part of what we're about. Somebody says I'm a vegan and there will be an attack from people just telling them how that's wrong. 

Or somebody says, I eat meat. Oh my God, you can't eat meat. Let me tell you all the reasons why, and they cite this and that and the other thing. 

I think we all tend to look for and find studies. Because everything can be, um, skewed nowadays. That we look for studies to back up what we want to believe. 

My suggestion is that rather than looking for studies, you look for results. 

See, for my body personally, I have tested veganism.

I was a vegan for two years. I have tested low carb I've tested Keto, I've tested carnivore. 

I find that where I get the best results, where I'm healthy or I'm energetic, where I don't have to take any medications for me is carnivore. That may be different for your body. 

I think we all instinctively know the best way to eat for our bodies and we need to listen to that and then we need to live with that.

And that's the big part you've got to live with it. I'm a carnivore. I don't touch sugar. I touch, I don't touch vegetables. But yet I'm healthy. I'm strong. I'm 68 years old. I move through life with ease. I love my life. 

The kids are zooming right now. Did you see them come flying through the screen there... are two little puppies.

They're just, there they go. Whoa. Cool. It's zoomey time. That's pretty awesome. 

But don't let somebody who speaks with such authority... because that's what people do. They pick their side and they speak with authority. 

That also means in the exercise world, you have people tell you, you have to do hit, you have to lift weights, you have to do yoga.

You have to do this. You have to do that. You have to do, you have to, you have to, you have to...

No, you don't. 

You have to do what works for you. 

I find a combination... for me personally. This is what I do and what works for me. And you can cite studies all day long, but I'm not going to deviate from it. 

I am a carnivore, I eat meat, eggs, dairy and fish. That's it. 

I do not put anything in my mouth that I feel is going to make me unhealthy. 

I have a two time a day workout. I teach an 8:00 AM class six days a week, and I do my own personal... usually combination of Xi gong, yoga with some of my mentors or on my own every evening before I go to bed.

That keeps me moving well, keeps me thriving. 

I try to walk whenever I can... the Pacific Northwest that's not always easy. 

Now I challenge you to find what works for you. 

What is the eating plan that works perfectly for your body? 

What is the movement plan that works perfectly for your body? 

And then you got to throw in hydration and breath and sunshine and, and stress reduction, and you can live your best life.

I guarantee you that. 

So maybe the title shouldn't be people speak with such authority. Maybe the title should be live your best life. I like that a lot. 

Move well, stay healthy, be happy. Live every day with passion. See you next time.
