The latest research on stress is a good reminder to make a shift!

It’s no surprise that stress takes a toll on us, emotionally and physically. But researchers keep learning more and more about the mechanisms through which stress impacts the mind and body – and ultimately our health and longevity.


A new study published this year in 2022 shows that stress ages your immune system. As Science Daily reports:
“Stress -- in the form of traumatic events, job strain and everyday stressors -- accelerates aging of the immune system, potentially increasing a person's risk of cancer, cardiovascular disease and illness from infections such as COVID-19, according to a new USC study… As expected, people with higher stress scores had older-seeming immune profiles, with lower percentages of fresh disease fighters and higher percentages of worn-out white blood cells.
