Positive Anticipation


I have a little thought experiment for you today. 

Think about the last time you felt excited about something. What was that like? How how did that feel, how did it change your day for the better.

I have a little thought experiment for you today. 

Think about the last time you felt excited about something. What was that like? How how did that feel, how did it change your day for the better. 

The positive anticipation of excitement makes us feel really good, doesn't it? It helps us to feel alive and uplifted, interested, energized, and hopeful. 

But most of the time we wait around for excitement to come to us. We don't bring much of an intention to experience this emotion on purpose. 

So what if today we chose to bring in the positive energy of excitement into our day on purpose. 

Now, maybe there is something big on your agenda that you can easily identify and thinking about it makes you feel excited. 

Maybe you have a trip coming up. 

Or a night out with friends. 

But you know what if you have nothing planned it doesn't matter either way there's always more to be excited about than first meets the eye and we can choose to bring the energy of excitement into our day.

We can choose to be excited about even the very Little things that bring us joy, like watching our favorite show at the end of the day or spending time unwinding with our spouse after the kids have gone to bed, listening to your favorite Podcast, playing with a dog, reading a really good fiction book .

There are so many things that we can look forward to. 

We can choose to be excited but even the very little things that bring us joy... and my goodness that feeling... well that feels good.

So when you look closely what can you find to be excited about? 

Sink into that feeling, allow yourself to have that feeling.

Kids are so good at getting excited over such small things. Can we do the same?

Notice how that feels in your body, the energy it gives you and as you continue your day You will begin to notice more and more things to get excited about... that feeling Feels so good.

So right now, right now, get excited and move well, stay healthy, be happy. Live today with passion. Breathe and just feel amazing.
