Now many of you know... I talk about it in class all the time... but it's always good to remind you. It's always good to think about these techniques that can work so well to keep you moving well for the rest of your life.
Many, many times you don't need the surgery. You don't need the medication. What you need is a good, solid stretching program using resistance or contracted stretching.
It's simply stretching a muscle under contraction.
What is contraction? Contraction is when you make a muscle, if you're making a Popeye muscle with your bicep, you put your arms out to the side, bend your elbows, make fist, bringing those fists in, and you're going to see that muscle pop up. Well, that muscles contracted, what you need to do is keep it like that as you stretch it.
You actually find a wall or use a technique, use some of the techniques we teach to stretch that muscle under contraction. It's amazing. It's absolutely amazing. I encourage you.
