There were these three crows...

Sounds a little bit like a set-up for a Red Skeleton skit, doesn't it?

But seriously, there were three crows this morning outside of our studio. They were kind of walking around really curious... I had the door pinned open. I think they were kind of taking a look at that.

After a little while they got bored with looking at the open door and they went over in the rocks... and I know they do this... they store bread under the rocks. They'll take breadcrumbs and then kind of shove them in under the rocks.

So these three crows are kind of getting bored with me and the open door because I'm standing right there and they're not going to get in. So they go onto the rocks and one of them reaches under the rocks and takes out a big chunk of bread.

Well immediately the second Crow comes up and they start bickering over this piece of bread, going back and forth, pecking at each other, trying to take the bread away and they end up in this full on fight over this piece of bread.

I thought it was really interesting... we talk about being present, being in the now paying attention to what's going on. Well, while the two of these are having their knock-down drag-out fight over the piece of bread. The third Crow goes over, picks up the piece of bread, walks about 10 feet away and proceeds to eat the piece of bread while the other two are duking it out.

That's a perfect example of being aware, being present... thinking about everything you do. Taking a nice deep breath in.

Might have there been another solution? Absolutely.

Because after they realized the third crow had eaten the piece of bread, one went over under another rock and pulled out a piece of bread... and then the other one goes over another rock and pulls out a piece of bread. So there was plenty of bread there. They really didn't need to fight.

But the one that was aware, of the one was in the moment got the first piece of bread. The other two had to go back for leftovers.

So always, always, always be in the present moment. Be aware of where you're at, be aware of what's going on.

Otherwise you might be fighting over a piece of bread... as you're fighting over your prized possession, your prize piece of bread. Guess what?

I'll walk up and snatch that piece of bread away... and have me a nice little treat!

Until tomorrow move well, stay healthy, be happy. Live every day with passion.
