I was doing a meditation on gratitude for the past yesterday and it hit me that sometimes some of the things, that at the time we think are the most devastating, the most terrible things that could happen to us, turn out to be the best.

For instance, when the pandemic hit and RiversZen got shut down, we weren't allowed to have people in the studio.

Two amazing things happened...

Now, the pandemic was terrible, don't get me wrong, a lot of people died and really got sick.

We really thought we were going to be out of business. Well, there were two good things that came out of that for us.

Number one. We got a new studio location and our owners of our existing building then, they got to open their birthing center, which if you're going to have a baby talk to Astoria Birthing Center, these people are amazing. Oh my God, wait till you see their birthing rooms. It's absolutely incredible. Full views... buildings out over the river. Those of us used to come to our 14th street location. We'll recognize what an amazing space this is. They put in birthing tubs and couches and beds, and it's just unbelievable.

But out of that, we were able to get a studio that's more appropriate for our current business and they were able to get their dream location in the building that they had purchased.

So that's the first thing that happened was we actually upgraded our location for our needs.

The second thing that happened was... we had played for five years trying to figure out how to deliver our classes online.

We were forced to all of a sudden, if we wanted to stay in business, we had to deliver classes online.

We figured it out. We figured it out because we were forced to so two amazing things came out of a very, very, very terrible situation.

Again, I'm not diminishing the serious of the pandemic. I'm trying to make a point that sometimes out of the most devastating things, you can get the best results.

Can you think of anything in your life that maybe at the time you thought... thought was the end of the world... you thought was terrible, you thought you would never survive. And then in the end it turned out to bring you a new partner or maybe help you get rid of some old bad situations or turning your business around. Anything like that?

If there is take some deep breaths and spend a little time in gratitude for that situation that happened.

Move well, stay healthy, be happy, live every single day with passion. Talk to you next time.
