Why Did I Ask You All To Give Me a Birthday Present Yesterday?

If you have not listened to yesterday's podcast, I want you to go listen to it right now, because otherwise you won't get what I'm talking about here. 

I asked for a very special birthday present from all the listeners of the podcast, from everybody at Riverszen, and any of my friends to gift me for my birthday. 

And that special gift, that very special gift.... I want you to look in the mirror every morning for the rest of this month. I want you to say, I love myself and accept myself wholly and completely. I want you to do that every day for the next 30 days.... Well, the next 15 days. Ideally for the rest of your life. 

Why did I ask for that? 

Well, one of the biggest things I see is that mindset is almost more important than what workout you do, what food you eat. 

It's been proven that with the right mindset, you can get away with a lot more than without the right mindset. 

I truly believe that one of the biggest problems facing our country, facing the world is a lack of, self-confidence a lack of self love. 

It sounds silly, but you can actually by looking in the mirror every morning, getting a big, old, silly grin and saying, I love myself wholly and completely and I accept myself, wholly and completely. 

The more you say it. The more impact it has. And then all of a sudden you start believing it. Once you start believing it, watch magical changes start happening in your life. 

That's why I asked for that. Because it breaks my heart to see everybody's struggling with their diet and their exercise program. 

I've said this many times before, you know what you need to do, you know what workouts you need to do, you know what food works well for you.

Listening to the, uh, herbal herbal medicine, uh, presentation we've been listening to for a week and some of you have been listening to with us. 

There was a really amazing stat yesterday. It was regarding women and it basically said the number one common thread among women who have heart attacks is not diabetes, it's not heart disease. 

It's loneliness. 

The others don't even come close. The number one common trait among women who die from heart attacks is loneliness.

I believe you could probably throw in stress, anxiety for women and men... and loneliness for men too. 

Let's stop that. 

Help us to stamp out the modern epidemic of self-loathing.

So look in the mirror every single morning... for my birthday, do this for my birthday... If not for yourself... look in that mirror, get a big silly shit-eating grin on your face and say, I love myself and I accept myself wholly and completely... 

and then say it again. I love myself. I accept myself wholly and completely.
